
TaxiKurir operates taxis for both personal and package transport and delivery throughout the whole of Scandinavia using a network of direct subsidiaries and franchisees. The company was founded in Stockholm in 1987 with the initial focus being on local businesses, but by 1990 this had been extended to facilitate both private individuals and the special transport needs of the local Health & Social Services.TaxiKurir's ownership and operating structure has contributed to it being a highly flexible and ambitious organization which has continually responded to the growing needs of its customers and in so doing became Scandinavia's largest operator.
The structure is based around the central operating unit, TaxiKurir AB, which deals with the common group issues such as marketing, product & system development, purchasing, quality management and environmental protection. The daughter company TaxiKurir Sverige AB has direct responsibility for the coordination and control of the 'TaxiKurir' franchise owners in the various locations within Sweden.
All local TaxiKurir companies are responsible for their own operations and must adhere to the core concept and values relating to, service, quality, customer contracts as well as the common branding and trademark issues, but they are also free to meet local needs with specialized services. The clear and precise policies and procedures are one of the key ways in which TaiKurir AB ensures that its quality and service guidelines are adhered to throughout the operation.

Our Quality & Environmental System - "Kurir Quality"
Within the TaxiKurir Group we have created our own Quality and Environmental System - 'Kurir Quality'. This is already in place and adhered to by all directly owned operations and is now being introduced to our franchisees. The system is ISO certified and is equivalent to The Swedish Taxi Association's 'Safe Green Taxi' initiative.The system is even integrated with our driver training programs, "Kurir Quality Driver" with the purpose of educating drivers to meet environmental and safety demands.

Our Investment In Environmental Vehicles
TaxiKurir is the taxi organisation investing the most in environmental vehicles. When our operators purchase a Volvo V70 Bi-Fuel they receive a direct subsidy of 50000 kr from TaxiKurir plus a further rebate from Volvo / Bilia. The goal was to have more than 100 green vehicles operating within TaxiKurir Stockholm during 2006 but this was already achieved by mid year. These vehicles are easily identified by the specially designed environmental vehicle logo. It is even possible for customers to specifically order an environmental vehicle.
